Original & High Level Concepts
Whether you have an original concept or need to turn a license into a game, for any platform/genre, I can help you work up your ideas to create a concept which is strong, deep and marketable, and produce professional, submission ready materials for pitching the concept.
Game Design Consultancy
Providing one off or on-going feedback and input on your game at all stages, an experienced “fresh pair of eyes” to help steer your game to success. I can also offer “Feedback management”, wrangling reports from diverse sources – marketing, QA, focus groups –into a concise, prioritised and easily tracked format.
Additional Game Design
If you need to add, flesh out or strengthen discrete portions of your game I can provide and/or work up solutions – e.g. Camera, AI, Game Mechanics, working the story into the gameplay (and vice versa) and generally mopping up areas in need of attention.
Gameplay Implementation & Level Design
Practical design support, working hands on with game assets. I am familiar with many industry-standard 2D and 3D software and game creation tools, and also adept at picking up proprietary tools fast. Writing game/level scripts in any scripting language not a problem!
Documentation
Writing concise, flab-free and professionally presented game documentation from One Page Pitches to Concept Submissions to full GDDs, plus Wiki-to-Doc translations and vice versa. Can be compiled from the most random collections of notes, conversations, or even “back of a fag packet” scrawls!
Game Analysis & Review
Taking stock of your game from the initial documentation stages to the final beta tweaking, my analysis will review your game’s strengths and weaknesses, locate the issues and help provide workable solutions to them, and pin point ways to add on those precious review score points.
